Historically, traditional burial was the predominant form of interment among the Israelites.
Clear examples can be found in the stories of Abraham, who purchased a tomb for Sarah, and Joseph, whose body was carried from Egypt to be buried in Canaan.
Despite this tradition, the method of burial will never limit the supreme power of the Creator. Christian faith teaches that God’s will ensures the final resurrection, regardless of whether the physical body is reduced to ashes.
What truly matters is honoring the deceased while fully trusting in the eternal purpose and unconditional grace of the Lord.
